MILBURN BRYANT "MIB" HENRY Milburn Bryant "Mib" Henry was born on April 18, 1920 in McLean, Tex. the son of Bryant Norwood and Murena (Moody) Henry. He passed away on Friday, December 3, 2010 at his Cortez residence at the age of 90. On July 8, 1977, Mib married Patricia McSherry in Santa Fe, N.M. Mib proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during World War II and the Korean conflict. He made a career of the Air Force retiring after 20 years as a command pilot. He was honorably discharged in 1960. Mib was a member of the Ute Mountain American Legion Post #75, Four Corners Rifle and Pistol Club, and the National Rifle Association. Mib spent many years as a personal protection instructor. Mib also spent time and retired as a deputy for the Montezuma County Sheriff Department. Surviving Mib are his wife of 33 years, Patricia McSherry of Cortez; and his children, Tamara Henry of Denver, Shane Henry of Denver, Colo., James Henry of Flower Mound, Tex., John Henry of Greenwood Village, Colo., Carol Ryan of Leesburg, Virginia, Patrick Henry of Highland Ranch, Colo., and Priss Toth of Leesburg, Virginia. He was preceded in death by his parents; by his daughter, Cecilia Tuggle; and by his siblings, Olive Kehoe and Thomas Henry. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Milburn Henry's name to Hospice of Montezuma, P.O. Box 740 Cortez, Colo. 81321, Good Samaritan Center of Cortez, or to the Disabled American Veterans of Cortez.
