MIKE RANDALL "THE OLD BULL" Funeral Mass for lifelong Dolores resident Mike Randall "The Old Bull" will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 8 at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Summit Ridge Cemetery. Rosary services are planned for Saturday starting at 12:30 p.m. at the church. Mike was born on March 2, 1933 in McPhee, Colo. the son of Ross and Bernadita (Gallegos) Montoya. He passed away on Tuesday, March 4, 2008 at Southwest Memorial Hospital at the age of 75. Mike was always a hard worker, beginning employment at the sawmill in Dolores at the young age of 14. In September of 1958, Mike married Viola M. Quintana in Mancos. The couple shared 49 years of marriage. In his free time, Mike enjoyed cockfighting, hunting, fishing, camping and spending time in the mountains. Surviving Mike are his loving wife, Viola Randall of Dolores; and his children, Michael Randall and wife, Abby of Farmington, N.M., Bill Randall and wife, Debbie also of Farmington, Rocky Randall of Dolores, LaVerne Maez and husband, Mike Hernandez of Aurora, Colo., and Sharel Randall and husband, Ron Montoya also of Aurora. He is also survived by his siblings, Jerry Montoya and wife, Dorothy of Cortez, Mellie Gonzales of Mancos, and Mary Gonzales of Durango; his grandchildren that lived with Viola and him, Abrein and Veronica Lobato; 12 additional grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Chuck Randall; and his siblings, Fred Martinez, Bonnie Montoya, and Bobby Montoya.
