Michael J. Mclain

MICHAEL J. MCLAIN Graveside services for Cortez resident, Michael J. McLain were held on Thursday, February 2, 2006 at the Cortez Cemetery. Michael was born on October 14, 1941 in Napa, Calif., the son of Roy and Dorris B. (Cullen) McLain. He passed away on Wednesday, February 1, 2006 at the Vista Grande Nursing Home at the age of 64. On September 24, 1964, Michael married Albena LoRene Kent in Las Vegas, Nev. He and LoRene spent many years in Southern Calif. before moving to Cortez. He was a wonderful mechanic who had obtained a degree in structural engineering. Michael spent many hours playing cards and attended professional Rummy tournaments. He was an avid hunter that loved to garden, watch NASCAR, and listen to country music. His family enjoyed eating the wonderful meals he cooked. Surviving Michael are his wife, LoRene McLain of Cortez; his children, Jeffrey Foster of Phoenix, Ariz., and Michele Dorene McLain of Cortez; his grandchildren, Cheyenne McLain and Matthew McLain; and his brother, Patrick Cullen of Denver, Colo. Preceding Michael in death were his parents.
