MICHAEL GABRIEL ZSIGO Funeral services for lifelong Cortez resident Michael Gabriel Zsigo will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, June 1 at Ertel Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at Summit Ridge Cemetery. Visitation has been scheduled for Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Ertel Chapel. Michael was born May 12, 1990 in Flint, Mich. the son of Michael Louis and Melissa Lynn (Adams) Zsigo. He passed away Thursday, May 26, 2011 at his residence at the age of 21. Michael obtained his C.D.L. and operated heavy equipment. His true passion in life was art. Michael painted the murals at the skate park in Cortez. He spent a lot of time skateboarding with his friends at the park. Michael was gifted musically as well. He taught himself to play the bass guitar and he enjoyed writing song lyrics. Michael loved to cook. He was a free spirit and he believed in and loved the Lord very much. Surviving Michael are his mother, Melissa Moreno and husband, Mario of Cortez; his father, Michael L. Zsigo of Durand, Mich.; and many friends and extended family members. A tribute to Michael will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, May 31 at the Parque de Vida Skate Park. Memorial contributions may be made in Michael’s name to Dolores State Bank.
