Funeral services for Cortez resident Michael Clarence Billy will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, September 10, 2019 at the Evangel Assembly of God Church in Cortez, CO. Pastor Jeff McDonell will officiate. Interment will follow at Summit Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will take place from 5 – 7 p.m. Monday, September 9, 2019 at Ertel Memorial Chapel.
Michael was born October 18, 1979 in Pomona, CA the son of Leo George Billy Jr. and Linda Marie (Williams) Billy. He passed away on Saturday, August 31, 2019 in Dolores, CO at the age of 39.
Surviving Michael are his mother, Linda Sesler (Bob) of Cortez, CO; his father, Leo G. Billy Jr.; his grandmother, Shirley Williams of Dolores, CO; his siblings, Sarah Coker (Dallas) of Rangely, CO, Heidi Chavez (Joseph) of Palisade, CO, AnnaMarie Armstrong (Shawn) of Cameron, OK, and Jacob Carter of Cortez, CO; and his nieces and nephews, Allie, Gracie and Taylor Coker, Junior and Trista Chavez, Kendrick MacPherson, and Rosalie Carter Beanland. Michael was preceded in death by his grandmother, Myrtle Rutherford, his grandfather, Clarence Williams; and his great grandmother, Eula Ahkeah.
