MICAH DENISE FINLEY THOMAS Graveside services for Cortez resident, Micah Denise Finley Thomas will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, March 10 at Cortez Cemetery. Micah was born on August 2, 1964 in Cortez, the daughter of Jimmie Aulton and Lolita Ann (Persilver) Finley. She passed away on Tuesday, March 7, 2006 at her home at the age of 41. In her spare time, Micah enjoyed reading and crocheting. She especially took pleasure in time spent watching Law and Order, Star Trek and car racing. Surviving Micah are her parents, Jimmie and Lolita Finley of Cortez; her step-children, Tessa Peterson of Bayfield, Colo., and John Thomas Jr. of Arkansas; her four grandchildren; her sisters, Angel Taggart and husband, Quinton and their children, Ian and Derrek of Cortez, and Jami Dennison and husband, Tommy and their children, Kinsey, Kylie, Dante, and Isaiah of Marana, Az.; and Gregory John Porteous of Lancaster, Australia, a very special person in her life. Micah was preceded in death by her husband, John O’Brien Thomas. Memorial contributions can be made in memory of Micah Thomas with the Kidney Foundation.
