MELODIE ANN HILL Memorial services for longtime Cortez resident, Melodie Ann Hill are tentatively scheduled for 3 p.m. on Thursday, March 2 at the Trinity Lutheran Church. Inunrment will follow at the Cortez Cemetery. Rev. Erika Meyer will officiate. Melodie was born on May 24, 1959 in Cortez, the daughter of Dale and Lettie (Green) Higman. She passed away on Saturday, February 25, 2006 at her home in Cortez at the age of 46. Surviving Melodie are her husband, Jeff Hill; her children, Kevin and Ginni Hill, her mother, Tiny Higman, all of Cortez; and her siblings, Larry Higman and wife, Cindy of Castle Rock, Colo., Steve Higman and partner, Cathy Sharp of Longmont, Colo., and Donnie Higman and wife, Ronda of Mancos.; as well as her two nieces, Rori and Rowan. She leaves behind a large extended family. Melodie’s father preceded her in death. Memorial contributions may be made in Melodie’s name to Grace’s Kitchen in care of the St. Barnabas Episcopal Church.
