MAYBELL WAYMAN Funeral services for Pleasant View resident Maybell Wayman will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, October 13 at the Ertel Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at the Fairview Cemetery. Pastor Neely Lewis will officiate. The daughter of Charles A. and Olive Pearl (Young) Hollen, Maybell was born on December 10, 1912 in Tribune, Kan. She passed away on Tuesday, October 10, 2006 at the Vista Grande Nursing Home at the age of 93. Maybell married Audrey Eugene Wayman in Monticello, Utah in 1935. She was an active member of the Fellowship Baptist Church in Cahone. She loved to spend time gardening; growing beautiful flowers brought her much joy. Maybell’s children always were a priority in her life, their needs and welfare always came first. Maybell was a gifted quilter and seamstress. She was very fortunate that she was still able to enjoy both activities at the age of 93. Her family will fondly treasure the wonderful quilts made for them by such a special lady. Surviving Maybell are her daughters, Stella Barnard and husband, Jim of Dolores, Kay Cage and husband, James of Floydada, Tex., and Echo Williams and husband, John of Monticello, Utah; her son-in-law, Fred Van Buren; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Audrey Eugene Wayman; her daughters, Della Wilson and Joy VanBuren; and seven brothers and sisters.
