Maxine Faye Felkins

Private graveside services for Cortez resident Maxine Faye Felkins will be held at Cahone Cemetery.
Due to the current health situation and the mandatory restrictions on public gatherings associated with it, only immediate family will be in attendance.
Maxine was born July 17, 1917 in Barnes, KS the daughter of James Albert and Dottie Florence (Cook) Johnson. She passed away on Sunday, March 22, 2020 at Madison House in Cortez, CO at the age of 102.
Surviving Maxine are her children, Shirley Twilley of Cahone, CO, Larry Felkins of Cortez, CO, Steve Felkins of Lovell, WY; her sister, Bernadean Beasley of Dolores, CO; 11 grandchildren; 35 great grandchildren; and 25 great great grandchildren. Maxine was preceded indeath by her parents; her spouse, Walter Leon Felkins; her son, Cliff Felkins; her brother, JR. Johnson; and her sister, Delphine Baird.
