MAUDINE ALLIE SKIDMORE Funeral services for Monticello, Utah resident Maudine Allie Skidmore will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, July 25 at the First Southern Baptist Church in Dove Creek, Colo. Interment will follow at Dove Creek Cemetery. Pastor Mark Coffee will officiate. Visitation has been scheduled to begin at noon on Saturday at the church. Maudine was born September 8, 1932 to Henry S. and Willie Lee Poole. Our beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Sister, Aunt and Friend left us here on Earth to join those she loved on July 16, 2015. Maudine will be missed by all who knew her. November 22, 1949 she married the love of her life Freddie Skidmore, from this union produced seven children, 10 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, one adopted great-grandnephew and one adopted son. While Maudine had lots of hardships in her life she never let them get her down. She was always joking, playing games and never afraid of an adventure. She was just a kid at heart. Fred and Maudine lost their oldest child when he was just three years old and the heartaches didn't stop there. While the times where troublesome she still held onto her love of life and people. Maudine made a friend wherever she went. While her body was sick these last few years she was still a kind, happy person. She may have gotten mad, but she was quickly over it. Maudine was preceded in death by her parents; her children, Henry, Meranda, Matilda, Raymond and Dale; her brothers, Lawrence, Virgle, Argus; her sisters, Alma and Christine; along with three infant siblings. Maudine is survived by her loving husband, Freddie (Monticello, UT); her daughters, Lorena Trujillo of West Valley City, UT, and Nora (Richard) Reece of West Valley City, UT; "adopted," son Glen (De) Jackson of Woods Cross, UT; grandchildren, Tonni Trujillo, Tyson (Michele) Trujillo, Dani (Carson) Trujillo, Perry Trujillo, Melisa (Kevin) Todd, Terri Bustillo, Curtis (Alisha) Reece, Anthony (Paula) Skidmore, Daniel (Sara) Skidmore and Joshua (Ashley) Skidmore; great-grandchildren, Kurtis Todd, Marissa-K Todd, AnaBella Bustillo, Evie Trujillo, Jocelyn Trujillo, Sofia Trujillo, Rykin Trujillo, Cassidy Dastrup (Reece), Kamerin Reece, Karter Reece, Isaac Skidmore, Mikayla Skidmore, Lillian Skidmore, Savannah Skidmore, Mary Skidmore, Monica Skidmore, Aiden Skidmore, Kayla Skidmore, Cecelia Skidmore, Chloe Skidmore, Zoe Skidmore; adopted great-grandchild, TJ Todd (her nephew whom she called grandson); brothers, Lloyd (Virginia) Poole of Morris TX, Gene (Gayle) Poole of White Deer TX, Red or H.H. (Leona) Poole of Dove Creek CO; sisters, Helen Nokes of Houston, TX, and Jean (Raymond) Bond of Tooele Utah; and many nieces, nephews and friends. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at San Juan Hospital in Monticello for all their efforts and comforts during her last moments.
