MATTHEW DAVID BROZE Funeral Mass for Denver, Colo. resident and former area resident, Matthew David Broze will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, October 14 at St. Rita Catholic Church in Mancos. Interment will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery. Rosary services have been scheduled for Thursday evening at 7:00 at the church. Matthew was born May 1, 1969 in Cleveland, Ohio the son of Richard and Elizabeth Broze. He passed away on Thursday, September 29, 2016 at his residence at the age of 47. Matthew had a great sense of humor and was willing to help anyone in need. He enjoyed drawing, planting a garden and playing pool. Matthew also liked to fish, ride dirt bikes, and spend time with his family. Surviving Matthew are his mother, Elizabeth Broze of Denver, Colo.,; his wife, Gina Romero of Cortez; his children, Georgia Belmont (Jason) of Cortez, Nick Broze of Denver, Colo., and Brianna Broze of Cortez; his siblings, Juneann Blair, Janiece Polnau (Todd) and Richard C. Broze all of Denver; his dog, Bugsy Broze; and by his grandson due to arrive soon, Jason William Belmont IV. Matthew was preceded in death by his father.
