Matilda Kohlerschmidt

MATILDA KOHLERSCHMIDT Matilda Kohlerschmidt was born August 22, 1919 in Hanau, Germany the daughter of Edward and Katherine (Frischkorn) Volk. She passed away on Tuesday, September 3, 2013 at the age of 94. In September 1946, Matilda married Eric August Kohlerschmidt in Brooklyn, N.Y. Matilda lived in Ocala, Fla. for many years before moving to Colorado soon after the passing of her husband. She loved to travel and visit her friends. Matilda enjoyed spending her time reading as well. Surviving Matilda are her sons, Glenn Kohlerschmidt of Cortez and Eric Kohlerschmidt of Ridge, N.Y.; and her grandchildren, Daryl Kohlerschmidt and wife, Julia and Aileen Kohlerschmidt both of Longmont, Colo. Preceding her in death are her parents, Edward and Katherine Volk; her husband, Eric Kohlerschmidt; and her sister, Ilse Bernardone. Cremation has taken place and no services are planned at this time.
