MARY ELIZABETH ZUMMACH Funeral services for longtime Cortez resident Mary Elizabeth Zummach will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, July 10 at Ertel Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at Cortez Cemetery. Mary was born June 22, 1967 in Albuquerque, N.M. the daughter of August George and Lela LaKay (Kinsell) Stanley. She passed away on Saturday, July 7, 2012 at her residence at the age of 45. Mary enjoyed time spent 4-wheeling and snowmobiling. An animal lover at heart, Mary was most fond of dogs and cats. Surviving Mary are her mother, Lela Stanley of Cortez; her siblings, Diane Lindsay and husband, David of New Mexico, and Paul Zummach of Cortez; her step-siblings, Linda Grider and husband, Larry of Cortez, Margie Cornett of Cortez, Gary Stanley and wife, Georgia of Cortez, Grant Stanley of Cortez, and Tim Stanley of Farmington, N.M.; and by numerous aunts and uncles. Mary was preceded in death by her father, August Zummach.
