Mary Ann Ince

MARY ANN INCE Funeral services for Mary Ann Ince, a lifelong Cortez resident, will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, November 3, at Cortez Church of Christ. Interment will follow at Lebanon Cemetery. Visitation has been scheduled for Sunday afternoon from 3 to 5 p.m. at Ertel Memorial Chapel. Mary was born on March 1, 1914 in Cortez the daughter of Isaac and Clara (Morris) Long. She passed away on Wednesday, October 29, 2008 at her residence at the age of 94. On March 31, 1930, Mary wed Earl Edward Ince in Cortez. Mary belonged to the Order of Eastern Star and she was an active member of the Cortez Church of Christ. Mary enjoyed gardening, raising beautiful flowers, and crocheting. She loved to cook for family gatherings and spend time outdoors. Fishing and camping also brought Mary much joy. Surviving Mary are her daughter, Clara Ince of Cortez; her nieces, Connie Yantz and husband, Manny of Henderson, Nev., and Mary Ann Berg of Henderson, Nev.; and her nephews, Bill Ince and wife, Linda of Orangeville, Calif., Vern Ince and wife, Diana of Cortez; and Loyd Brown of San Antonio, Tex. Mary was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Earl Ince; and her siblings, Walter Long, Ben Long, Leroy "Ike" Long, Viola Johnson, and Lidia Long; and her sisters-in-law, Loreena Long, Irene Long, Lucille Long.
