Marvin Neil Karsten

MARVIN NEIL KARSTEN Marvin Neil Karsten was born on September 23, 1940 in Morristown, Minn. to Harold and Candace (Crandle) Karsten. He passed away on December 7, 2012 at his Cortez home at the age of 72. Marvin married Sylvia Cortez in Hastings, Minn. on October 23, 1995. Marvin considered himself to be a water conservationist. Surviving Marvin are his wife, Sylvia of Cortez; his children, Larry Karsten and wife, Jill of Milroy, Minn., Mary Krumwiede of Bingham Lake, Minn., Terri Biram and Sherri Karsten both of Canby, Minn.; his brothers, Donnie, John, Harley, and Steven Karsten; and nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Marvin was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Candace Karsten; and his brother, Richard Karsten. Cremation has taken place with memorial services to be held in Minnesota at a later date.
