Martha Lois Lawrence

MARTHA LOIS LAWRENCE Martha Lois Lawrence was born on January 8, 1951 in Denver, Colo. the daughter of Vernon L. and Barbara Lois (Berggren) Dunn. She passed away on Monday, September 22, 2008 at her Cortez home at the age of 57. Martha was an avid reader and she was a gifted writer. She had a novel in progress at the time of her passing. Martha enjoyed volunteering and was generous with her time. Animals also brought her life much joy. Surviving Martha are her husband of 31 years, Jim Lawrence of Cortez; her son, Nick Lawrence of Cortez; her father, Vernon Dunn also of Cortez; and her siblings, Robert Dunn of Cortez, Judith Dunn of Indian Hills, Colo., Elizabeth Wilson of Littleton, Colo., and Lynn Soukup of Cortez. Martha was preceded in death by her mother, Barbara Dunn earlier this month. Memorial contributions may be made in Martha's name to the Adoption Exchange for children, 14232 E. Evans Ave., Aurora, Colo. 80014 or to Hospice of Montezuma, P.O. Box 740, Cortez, Colo. 81321. Cremation has taken place and services will be held at a later date.
