MARJORIE ANN HOMRICH Graveside services for area resident Marjorie Ann Homrich will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, October 24 at Cortez Cemetery. Pastor Bob Newton will officiate. Visitation has been scheduled for Friday afternoon from 12 to 1:30 p.m. at Ertel Memorial Chapel. Marjorie was born February 24, 1924 in Muskegon, Mich. the daughter of Carl Oscar and Minnie Pinella (Swanson) Johnson. She passed away on Monday, October 20, 2008 at Valley Inn Nursing Home at the age of 84. Marjorie was a talented seamstress and artist who also had an eye for interior decorating. She also loved taking care of various animals. Surviving Marjorie are her children, James E. Homrich and wife, Jana of Farmington, N.M. and Margaret "Jody" Dobbs of Cortez; and her granddaughter, Jennifer Hawkins of Salt Lake City, Utah; and two great grandchildren. Marjorie also leaves behind her close friends, Johnney and Cretia Burris of Cortez; her siblings, Ruth Hendrickson of Oakland, N.J., Pat Homrich of Indiana, Lois Homrich of Albuquerque, N.M., and Sister Rosemary Homrich of East Grand Rapids, Mich.; her sister-in-law, Barb Homrich of Ohio, and her brother-in-law, Reverend Eugene Homrich of Bangladesh. Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband of 58 years, Bernard Joseph Homrich.
