Marion Lou Heffner

MARION LOU HEFFNER Funeral services for lifelong Cortez resident, Marion Lou Heffner will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, March 30 at the Ertel Memorial Chapel. Cremation will follow the service. The daughter of Russel and Irene Marion (Wold) Selander, Marion was born on December 11, 1943 in Madison, Wis. She passed away on Saturday, March 25, 2006 at the Southwest Memorial Hospital at the age of 62. On March 1, 1960 Marion married Leonard Killingbeck in Mancos. On January 15, 1985 she married John L. “Jack” Heffner. Marion took pleasure in time spent with her family. In her spare time she loved to work in her garden. Her family enjoyed many wonderful meals that she prepared. Surviving Marion are her husband, Jack Heffner of Cortez; her daughters, Elaine Killingbeck-Ring and husband, Gene and Martha Heffner and husband, Harry all of Cortez; three grandchildren; two brothers; and two sisters. She also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews. Preceding Marion in death were her parents; a son, Dale Killingbeck; one brother; and two sisters.
