MARIE FORMAN Marie Forman was born on November 13, 1931 in Rupert, Ida. to Richard Walter and Alice Ailenne (Deno) Forman. She passed away on September 24, 2011 at her Mancos home at the age of 79. In her younger years, Marie attended UCLA, Cal State Berkley, and Yale Universities. Marie held an undersecretary position in Health, Education, and Welfare in the Nixon Administration. She was a professor at Cal State Berkley and at University of Connecticut Medical Schools. Marie also worked in Public Health in California as well as White Plains, N.Y. She was a dedicated nurse at Ganado Hospital on the Navajo Reservation and served many years as a nurse for Hospice. Surviving Marie are her siblings, Walter Forman and wife, Angela of Torrence, Calif. and Ella Mae Huntington of Oakview, Calif.; her nieces and nephews, James Forman and wife, Suzanne, Verna Silvia and husband, Larry, Ray Huntington and wife, Nanci, and Alice Carey; and six great nieces and nephews. Marie was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Alice Forman. Cremation will take place with no services planned at this time.
