MARIAN PATRICE AUSTIN LYNCH A funeral Mass has been scheduled for longtime Mancos resident, Marian Patrice Austin Lynch at 3 p.m. on Monday, March 20, at St. Rita Catholic Church in Mancos. Interment will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery. Father Derrek Scott will officiate. A Rosary service has been scheduled for Sunday evening at 7 p.m. at St. Rita Catholic Church. A visitation will be held at the Ertel Chapel on Monday morning from 10 a.m. to noon. Marian was born on August 24, 1934 in Los Angeles, Calif., the daughter of Harry and Lucille (Gavin) Austin. She passed away on Wednesday, March 15, 2006 at the Southwest Memorial Hospital at the age of 71. Marian was a devoted Catholic and a generous caregiver. She worked for the ARAMARK Corporation at Mesa Verde National Park. Surviving Marian are her husband of 59 years, James Edward Lynch of Mancos; her sons, Michael Sean Lynch who works in Ecuador, and Dennis Patrick Lynch of Longmont, Colo. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a daughter, Kathleen Marie Knowles. Memorial contributions may be made in Marian's name to the American Cancer Association.
