Mariah Rose Silas

Funeral services for lifelong Towaoc resident Mariah Rose Silas will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, November 30 at Ertel Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow. Visitation has been scheduled for Sunday afternoon from 4 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home. Mariah was born February 20, 1997 in Shiprock, N.M. the daughter of Alexander Dale Silas and Carol Ann Coyote. She passed away on Monday, November 23, 2015 at the Southwest Memorial Hospital at the age of 18. Mariah graduated from Montezuma-Cortez High School this past May. She had plans to attend culinary arts school in the near future. Mariah enjoyed cosmetology, camping and traveling. She loved to play games and have fun. Surviving Mariah are her father, Alexander "Joe" Silas of Towaoc; her mother, Carol Coyote of Towaoc; her siblings, Alex Silas (Eunicia Badback) of Towaoc, Anthony Bearshead of Towoac, Kevlin Silas of Towaoc; by her grandfather, Herbert Silas Sr. of Towaoc; and by numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends.
