MARIA ANNA "MARIANNE" FLOSSMANN Funeral Mass for longtime Cortez resident Maria Anna "Marianne" Flossmann will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, December 30 at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Cortez Cemetery. Reverend Pat Valdez, C.R. will officiate. Rosary Service will be held at 6 p.m. on Thursday evening at the church. Marianne was born October 30, 1925 in Garmisch-Parenkirchen, Germany the daughter of Georg and Kiara (Bayer) Zollner. She passed away on Sunday, December 25, 2016 at Vista Grande Inn Nursing Home at the age of 91. Marianne and her late husband, Albert owned and operated the El Capri Motel in Cortez for 36 years. Mr. Flossmann passed away in 2005. Marianne is survived by her son, Albert Flossmann Jr. of Cortez.
