Margaret Ethel Ford

MARGARET ETHEL FORD Graveside inurnment services for Cortez resident Margaret Ethel Ford will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, September 21 at Cortez Cemetery. Margaret was born August 9, 1922 in Delta, Colo. the daughter of Jesse Alva and Sarah Maude (Merica) Leonard. She passed away on Friday, September 16, 2011 at Vista Grande Inn at the age of 89. On March 15, 1940 Margaret married Thomas Franklin Ford in Monticello, Utah. She was a member of the United Methodist Church and Rebecca Lodge. In her free time, Margaret enjoyed time spent fishing, hunting, snowmobiling and being outdoors. She devoted a lot of time to her home and her flowers, they were her pride and joy. Surviving Margaret are her sons, Allan Ford of Cortez and Harold Ford and wife, Janice of Arriola; one grandchild, Kenneth Ford and wife, Carrie of Cortez; and her siblings, Jess Leonard and wife, Maidee of Cortez, Mildred McGettrick of Cortez, and Frankie Leonard of Cortez. Margaret was preceded in death by her parents; by her husband, Thomas Ford; by her son, Tom Ford; her grandson, Mitchell Ford; and by her brother, Buddy Leonard.
