M. Dean Mccabe

M. DEAN MCCABE On August 7, 2014, M. Dean McCabe, 74, departed this world doing what he loved on his property near the Groundhog Reservoir in Colorado; the place he loved best. Dean was born May 13, 1940 in Cortez, Colo. to Frances and Thelma (Gawith) McCabe. He married Roberta (Roark) McCabe, his wife of 50 years on June 25, 1964, in Cortez, Colo. Dean loved spending time with his family, running trains as a locomotive engineer for the Santa Fe and BNSF railroads, and spending his vacations and retirement hunting and fishing in the mountains of Colorado with his family and friends. Dean's legacy lives on in his wife Roberta; four children, Mark (Raelene), Michael (Kim), Dawn (Ray), Gerald (Tracy); brothers, Pat (Nene), Rex (Terry), Reed (Nihla); sister-in-law, Beth; three grandchildren, Dean (Rachael), Christopher (ReNae), Justin (Lori); two great grandchildren Dakota, and Parker; and numerous nephews and nieces. Dean was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Jay. Cremation has taken place and private family services will be held at a later date.
