LUCIA C. COPPERFIELD Funeral services for lifelong Towaoc resident Lucia C. Copperfield will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, January 21 at the Community Center in Towaoc. Interment will follow at Towaoc Cemetery. Visitation has been scheduled for Saturday, January 19 from 2 to 4 p.m. at Ertel Memorial Chapel. Lucia was born on May 30, 1955 in Cortez to the late Emma Marie Cuthair. She passed away on Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at 6 p.m. at her home at the age of 57. In Lucia's lifetime she walked the Longest Walk with the AIM group to Washington, D.C. Lucia married Ernest Copperfield on December 27, 2000. She enjoyed bead working and traveling. Surviving Lucia are her husband, Ernest of Towaoc; and her siblings, Norman Lopez and wife, Glenda, Raymond Lopez, Rutherford Mills Sr., Wade Mills and wife, Sereta, all of Towaoc, Linda Lopez and husband, James of Price, Utah, Betty Mills and husband, Bruce, of Towaoc, and Ruthie Mills also of Towaoc; and by many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Lucia was preceded in death by her mother, Emma Cuthair; Bertha Lopez, Ricky Mills, Susan and Patton Ketchum; and by many others. She will be missed and loved by all.
