LOUISE JUANITA EATON Funeral services for longtime Dove Creek resident Louise Juanita Eaton will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, December 6 at the Dove Creek High School Gym. Interment will follow at Dove Creek Cemetery. Louise was born June 17, 1920 to Emery and Grace (Landers) Randolph. She passed away at San Juan Hospital in Monticello, Utah on Monday, December 2, 2013 at the age of 93. Louise spent 39 years of her life teaching. She was a member of the Troy Young VFW Post #5181 Auxiliary and the Trigess Club in Dove Creek. When her brothers went off to war, she went to Durango to enlist. They would not take her because she was underage. Determined to do her part, Louise decided to go to California to work in the airplane factory as a "Rosie the Riveter". She was fired after a month when they found out she was underage. Louise enjoyed flower gardening, writing stories, reading, collecting antiques and Christmas decorations. Spending time with her family, though, brought her the most enjoyment. Surviving Louise are her children, Ronald Pribble and wife, Donna of Dove Creek, Finley Pribble and wife, Sally of Olathe, Colo., Denise Pribble and husband, Harley Gardner of Dove Creek, and James Pribble and wife, Sherry of Dove Creek; son-in-law, Steve Buffington of Dove Creek, 11 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and 10 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Emery and Grace Randolph; first husband of 48 years, Ursel Pribble; second husband of 11 months, Robert Eaton; son, Roger Pribble; daughter, Deborah Pribble; and brothers, Junior Randolph, Harmon Randolph, Gerald Randolph, Darrell Randolph, and Robert Randolph. Memorial contributions can be made in memory of Louise Easton with the Dove Creek Ambulance Fund.
