Funeral services for Dolores resident Louis Marshall Edwards Sr. will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, March 1, 2021 at Ertel Memorial Chapel. Mr. Walter Marquez will officiate. Interment will follow at Summit Ridge Cemetery. A viewing will take place from 10 – 11 a.m. Monday, March 1, 2021 at Ertel Memorial Chapel before the service.
Louis was born November 28, 1948 in Farmington, NM the son of Albert Leon and Etta Mae (Magarrell) Edwards. He passed away on Sunday, February 21, 2021 at his residence at the age of 72.
Surviving Louis are his spouse, Helen Edwards of Dolores, CO; his children, Louis M. Edwards Jr. of Dolores, CO, Christopher Edwards (Juana) of Aztec, NM, Joshua A. Edwards (Dawn) of Dolores, CO, Lori A. Bailey (Phil) of Wheaton, MO, Sherry L. Montoya (Max) of Dolores, CO, Cindy L. Coulon (Doug) of Dolores, CO, and Tanya M. Edwards of Dolores, CO; his sister, Cathy Ackers of TN; his brothers, Bill Edwards of MD, and Rick Edwards of Farmington, NM; 28 grandchildren; and 38 great grandchildren. Louis was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Tony R. Herrera; and his brother, Leonard Edwards.
