Lorraine (Williams) Lackey

LORRAINE (WILLIAMS) LACKEY Funeral Services for longtime area resident, Lorraine (Williams) Lackey will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, December 4 at the First Assembly of God Church. Pastors Jamie Johnson and Marvin Graves will officiate. Burial will follow in Lebanon Cemetery. Lorraine was born on May 12, 1936 to Clyde Henry and Viola (Pippen) Williams in Harrisonburg, La. She passed away on December 1 at Mercy Regional Medical Center, Durango at the age of 79. On June 3, 1953 Lorraine married Billy James Lackey in Sunray, Tex. From this union the couple had two sons, one daughter and 38 grandchildren. Lorraine was employed with City Market for 16 years. She loved to paint, crochet and read books. Lorraine also enjoyed fishing and hunting in her younger years. Lorraine is survived by her husband, Bill Lackey of Dolores, Colo.; her children, Ronnie Lackey (Teresa) of Farmington, N.M., Roy Lackey (Patty) and Rejeania Lackey (Joaquin Garcia) all of Cortez; her 38 grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her sister, Mellonee Jennings of Pampa, Tex.; and by her sister-in-law, Ruth Williams of Many, La. Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, James Williams and Henry Williams. Memorial contributions may be made in Lorraine's name to Hospice of Montezuma, P.O.
