Lorena Fulbright

LORENA FULBRIGHT Lorena Fulbright was born on March 11, 1928 in Mancos, the daughter of Jasper Boyd and Ruby Julia (Rhoades) Hurst. She passed away on Friday, March 9, 2007 at her residence at the age of 78. On May 29, 1947, Lorena married Lewis William Fulbright in Grand Canyon, Ariz. Lorena was a lifelong member of the Mancos V.F.W. Auxiliary. She spent 19 years working for the State of Colorado as an Employment Officer and another 20 years as a tax return preparer. She loved to spoil her grandchildren. Surviving Lorena are her daughter, Rena J. Eaton of Cortez; her grandchildren, Corena Hampton, Roudy Hampton, Kevin Show, Billie Fulbright, Edwin Fulbright, Levi Fulbright, and Tammy Green; and her great-grandchildren, Jazmyn, Daria, Dylaina, Jason, Kourtney, Brittaney, Dakoda, Brandon, Desiree, Jake, Shilo, Andrew, Vanessa, Logan, Latasha, and Miranda. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lewis Fulbright; and her son, Willis Fulbright in February 2007, and an infant daughter, Connie Rae Fulbright. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
