LOIS MARIE HARRIS Funeral services for longtime Cortez resident Lois Marie Harris will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, February 4 at Ertel Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at Cortez Cemetery. Visitation has been scheduled for Friday afternoon from 4 to 6 p.m. at Ertel Chapel. Lois was born October 17, 1927 in Comanche, Tex. the daughter of James Clinton and Ruby (Kerney) Smart. She passed away on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at Southwest Memorial Hospital at the age of 89. Surviving Lois are her children, Don Ghella (Donise) of Chandler, Ariz. and Sharon Skilling (David) of Cortez; six grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren; and by her siblings, Bill Smart of Cortez and Adina Sowle of Sun City, Ariz. Lois was preceded in death by her parents; and by her husband, John Pyron Harris.
