LOIS EMMA MCINNES Lois Emma McInnes was born on February 4, 1940 to Martin and Frances Landreth in Bayfield, Colo. Lois was the youngest of four children and grew up in Bayfield, where she graduated high school in 1958. She married the love of her life, Lewis Ray McInnes Sr., on December 28, 1958. Two years later, they welcomed a son, Lewis Ray (Mac) McInnes, following eight years later was a daughter, Lynette Lucas. Lois loved and cherished time with each one of her eight grandchildren. Recently, she was blessed with her first great-grandchild. After marrying Lewis Ray, they moved to Alamogordo, New Mexico for a short time and then they moved to Green River, Utah where they stayed for nine years. In 1972, they found their final home in Cortez, Colo. Lois had several jobs in retail while in Cortez, her last being a sales clerk at the Toggery. After retiring from the Toggery, she was on the steering committee that organized Heart to Heart - Montezuma Crisis Pregnancy Center. The center is a place which assists women facing unplanned pregnancy or struggling with a past abortion choice showing them compassion and giving them hope. Lois was an active member of Arriola Bible Church and involved in the local scrapbook club in Cortez. Lois started her fight with cancer in 1995. She fought courageously and let people know that no matter what God's plan was for her in her cancer journey, He would be given the glory. Her main focus was letting everyone she knew had a personal relationship with Christ that she would see them again. Lois was surrounded by her family on November 18, 2013 in San Angelo, Tex., when she ran through the gates of heaven and into her heavenly Father's arms. She was preceded in death by her parents, Martin and Frances Landreth; husband, Lewis Ray; her sisters, Bonnie Engeldow and Cora Landreth; and brother, Martin Landreth. Lois is survived by Mac and his wife, Kay and Lynette and her husband, Jesse Lucas. Her grandchildren, Tender McInnes, Samantha Scheider, Daniel McInnes, Elisa McInnes, Travis Lucas, Matthew Lucas, Dillon Lucas, Zachery Lucas; great grandson, Futcher Scheider; multiple nieces and nephews and dearest friends, Carolyn Mathis, Rose Hughes, Helen Schaefer and Norma Garris. A celebration of her life will be held in San Angelo, Texas on Saturday, November 23 at 2:00 p.m. at PaulAnn Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held at Arriola Bible Church at 10 a.m., Tuesday, November 26 with interment at Bayfield Cemetery. Visitation has been scheduled at Ertel Memorial Chapel on Monday from 5-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to one of the following charities: Heart to Heart-Montezuma Crisis Pregnancy, Cortez, Colorado or Christian Discipleship Center, Cortez, Colorado.
