Lois Arlene Lancaster

August 2, 1923 — November 27, 2015

Lois Arlene Lancaster died peacefully, November 27th, 2015, in Tucson, AZ at the age of 92. She was born in Mehan, OK and moved to Colorado in 1945. Lois was predeceased by her husband, of 53 years, William "Bill" Lancaster, two infant children; her parents; five brothers; and first husband, Wesley Lockard. She is survived by her brother, Jim Axtell (Vesta); sisters, Wanda Roundtree and Elsie Sales (Ellery); her children, Linda Naylor (Jim), Darrell Lancaster (Linda) and Joe Lancaster (Mitzi); her grandchildren Shelley, Dana, Jennifer, Mackenzie, Wyatt, Eric, Savannah, Ashley; 14 great grandchildren and numerous family members and friends. Lois loved gardening, baking (especially pies and biscuits), crocheting, traveling, fishing, sewing and painting. She enjoyed visiting with people, which made her many years of being an Avon lady very rewarding. Lois was a member of the Pleasant View Church of Christ. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 5th, 2015 at Ertel Funeral Home in Cortez followed by burial at Sylvan Cemetery. Visitation has been scheduled for Friday afternoon from 4-6 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Pleasant View Fire Department.
