Linda Sue Reed

LINDA SUE REED Linda Sue Reed was born January 14, 1954 in Independence, Kan. the daughter of Walter and Jolene (Biggs) Raney. She passed away on Thursday, April 28, 2016 at her Cortez residence at the age of 62. On August 30, 1974, Linda married Roger C. Reed in Cortez. The couple shared 41 years together. Linda worked at Havran Dry Cleaners and proudly retired after 34 years of employment as a presser. In her free time, Linda enjoyed puzzles, fishing singing and dancing. Playing spoons and spending time outdoors brought Linda much happiness. Linda loved the Cortez area and her family will tell you what a wonderful mom she was. Surviving Linda are her husband, Roger of Cortez; her children, Jody Murphy of Cortez, Robert Reed (Michelle) of Cortez, Walter Reed (Denise Coffman) of Dolores; her grandchildren, Beronica, Bianca, Chevelle, Kevin, and Cody; her great-grandchildren, Nathaniel, Alexander, Karmen, and Dakota; and by her siblings, Marlene Hiestand, Jim Raney (Judy), and Carolyn Brooks (Larry) all of Missouri. Linda was also a foster parent for 14 children. She was preceded in death by her parents. Cremation has taken place and no services are planned.
