Pastors Anthony Maes and Cory Madsen will officiate. Interment will follow at Cortez Cemetery. "Sis", as she was fondly known to family and friends, was born January 13, 1942 in Hobbs, N.M. to Carl Monroe and Joyce Lanelle (Green) Eades. She passed away at her Cortez home on Monday, June 16, 2014. Sis was 72 years old. On February 6, 1970 Sis married the love of her life, Harold Lee Foster, Sr. in Mancos, Colo. Prior to moving to this area, Sis worked as a cosmetologist, owning her own shop in Hobbs, N.M. Upon relocating to Colorado Sis was employed by Triad Western Constructors as a bookkeeper for 15 years. Sis held deeply in her heart her love for her family and although theirs was a large family, she could name all of her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren and tell you when their birthdays were. She found that FaceBook made it easier to keep track of her family and their latest news. Sis had several loves which occupied her free time. She loved going to the casino, reading, watching hummingbirds and all their activities in her backyard. She was a member of New Covenant Church and in the last few years had grown in her walk with the Lord. Surviving Sis are her husband of 44 years, Harold Foster Sr. of Cortez; her children, Terry Foster and wife, Lisa of Montrose, Colo., Andy Foster also of Montrose, Robert Foster and wife, Dawn of Whitewater, Colo. Jeanne Stiegelmeyer and husband, Guy of Cortez, Lee Foster and wife, Dee of Panhandle, Tex., and David Foster and companion, Andy Marshall of Phoenix, Ariz.; by 30 grandchildren, 48 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren; and her sister, Carlene Townsley and husband, Ray of Pueblo West, Colo. Sis was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Joyce Eades; a daughter, Kathy Lende; grandson, Dusty Lance; and brother, Jerry Eades.
