Family Celebration of Life gathering for Yellow Jacket, Colo. resident Lee Roy Beasley will be held from 12 noon to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 16 at his residence, 15498 Road W, Yellow Jacket. Lee Roy Beasley was born on August 30, 1932 in Arizona the son of Roy and Verena (Cox) Beasley. Lee passed away on January 10, 2016 at the age of 83. Lee served three years in the Philippines during the Korean War while serving in the Navy. He was a member of the Tanto Basin V.F.W., Tanto Basin, Ariz. On March 1, 1983 Lee married Berna Dean Johnson in Las Vegas, Nev. After many years as a heavy equipment operator, Lee retired in 1988. He always enjoyed fishing in Tanto Basin. Lee is survived by his wife, Berna Dean; his children, Laura Manypenny (Will), Verde Roy Beasley (Kathy) and Theresa Garland (David); his step children, Eddie Oliver (Glenna), Leroy Oliver (Connie), Lynn Oliver and Godwin Oliver (Kami); his sister, Lorraine Hughes; his nine grandchildren; his four great grandchildren and numerous step grandchildren. Lee was preceded in death by his parents and a son, John Beasley.
