LARRY DEAN HARE An informal gathering to remember and celebrate Larry Dean Hare will be held from 2 to 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 18 at the Ertel Memorial Chapel. Military honors, conducted by Montezuma County VFW Post #5231, will open up the gathering at 2 p.m. Larry was born November 8, 1944 in Independence, Iowa to Frank Junior Hare and Marian (Fairchild) Hare. He passed away in Cortez on Tuesday, April 14, 2014. Larry was 70 years old. In 1998, Larry married Patricia Ann Vearner in Amarillo, Texas. He has been working as a certified registered nurse anesthetist for 48 years. During Larry's free time he loved gardening, fishing, sightseeing, RVing and off highway vehicle traveling. If Larry was your friend, he was your best friend! Surviving Larry are his wife, Patricia Hare of Cortez; his father, Frank Hare of Independence, Iowa; his children, Dana and Aron Yarbrough of Amarillo, Texas, Kevin and Krystal Hare of Amarillo, Texas, Gretchen and Jason Bonnette of Amarillo, Texas, Chris and Johnna Terry of Vega, Texas, Jaclyn and Ben Sellinger of Amarillo, Texas, Samantha and Hanh Luu of Amarillo, Texas and Rachel Segura and Justin Martinez of Cortez; by 20 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; and by his sister, Sharon and Bud Conrad of Independence, Iowa. Larry was preceded in death by his mother, Marian Hare; and one granddaughter, Emilie Yarbrough.
