LARRY CECIL WRIGHT Funeral services for longtime Cortez resident, Larry Cecil Wright will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, December 28 at the Ertel Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at the Cortez Cemetery. A visitation has been scheduled for Tuesday evening from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. at the Ertel Chapel. Larry was born on May 30, 1939 in Hiawatha, Kans. the son of Clarence and Louise (Hopper) Wright. He passed away on Saturday, December 24, 2005 at the Vista Grande Nursing home after a long battle with leukemia. Larry was 66 years old. On June 9, 1962 in Durango, Larry married Charlotte Nadine Rummel. They enjoyed 40 years of marriage. He spent his career as a truck driver and diesel mechanic. A few of his favorite pastimes were riding four wheelers in the mountains, and football. But above all he loved spending time with family and friends. He had many friends he enjoyed going to the coffee shop with. Surviving Larry are his children, Lisa Lowe and husband, Mike of Denver, Colo., Larry Dean Wright and wife, Zenda of Farmington, N.M., Tina Kimmel and husband, Terry of Cortez, Jennifer Fitzgerald and husband, Kevin of Tucson, Ariz.; his ten grandchildren, Kevela, Deva, Andra, Jeremiah, Aaron, Jhayden, Brittany, Terry, Justin and Sarah; his two great-grandchildren; and his siblings, Don Wright and wife, Betty of Payette, Id., Jerry Wright and wife, Juanita of Cortez, Charles Wright and Charlene Kennedy both of Bloomfield, N.M.; as well as many nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his parents; and his wife, Nadine Wright.
