LARRY B. FRANKLIN Larry B. Franklin passed away December 31, 2016, a devoted christian, husband, and son. Born in Fort Smith, AR on October 8, 1939 to Earl B. Franklin and Flora Geren Franklin, their only son. Larry is survived by his wife of 35 years Janice E. Eble Franklin, brother-in-law Richard A. Eble and wife Eunice Seavey Eble, a nephew Arthur E. Eble and Brianna R. Norton Eble, and niece Alyson J. Eble Peoples and husband Brandon K. Peoples. Larry graduated from Fort Smith High School in 1957 and graduated from the University of Tulsa in1963 with a degree in mechanical engineering. After graduation he worked for Oklahoma Gas & Electric Co. in Oklahoma City, OK where he retired for the first time in 1988. After his retirement he decided to continue work as a private consulting engineer. In 1990 he and his wife Janice, moved closer to family residing in Gore, OK. He continued to work until he retired for the second time from Fort James Paper Company. In 2011 they were able to fulfill their lifetime dream of living in the southwest moving to Mancos, CO. surrounded by beautiful landscapes and friends. During his life, Larry enjoyed sailing, flying, photography, reading, traveling the U.S., collecting southwest memorabilia, working on computers, collecting World War II memorabilia, and spending time with his wife. He was an active member of St. Philip The Evangelist Anglican Church of Cortez, CO. Donations in lieu of flower can be made to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research.
