LADORNA MAE TORRENCE Graveside service for longtime Cortez resident, LaDorna Mae Torrence will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, August 31, 2005 at the Goodman Point Cemetery. Pastor Jimmie Kennedy will be officiating. Mae was born on January 21, 1911 in Enumclaw, Wash., the daughter of William Edgar and Kate LaDorna (Lent) Searcy. She passed away on Friday, August 26, 2005 at the Four Corner’s Health Care Center in Durango at the age of 94. Mae married Robert James “Bud” Torrence and was a dedicated farmer’s wife. She was also a longtime member of TOP’s. Surviving Mae are her nieces and nephews, Bob and Peggy Marrs of El Centro, Calif., Ed & Linda Searcy of Durango, and Lee and Beverly Searcy of Kingman, Ariz.; and her great-nieces, Cathy Gallegos of Durango, Jody Gallegos of Denver, Colo., Dianne Searcy of Phoenix, Ariz., and Darci Diem of Pueblo, Colo. Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Bud Torrence; and her siblings, Cecil L. Searcy and Francine O’Neal.
