KYLE DAVID SALVADOR KNAPP Funeral services for lifelong Cortez resident Kyle David Salvador Knapp will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday October 3 at Evangel Assembly of God Church. Kyle was born December 13, 1986 in Cortez the son of Ronald Jay and Brenda Joyce (Sanchez) Knapp. He passed away on Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at the age of 29. Kyle enjoyed hunting and fishing with his brother and nephews. He never missed an opportunity to cheer on his nephew at his football and baseball games. Kyle's greatest happiness came from hanging out with his girls, whether having a tea party or watching softball, his girls were his pride and joy. He had an amazing relationship with his parents, they were truly the light of his life. Kyle was fortunate to have spent 12 years with his soul mate, his best friend, Christina. They celebrated eight years of loving marriage. Kyle was a family man in every sense and he will be deeply missed. Surviving Kyle are his wife, Christina Knapp of Cortez; his daughters, Brooklynn Rae Knapp and Harlem Grace Knapp of Cortez; and his parents, Ron and Brenda Knapp of Cortez. He also leaves behind his brother, Josh Knapp of Cortez; his sister, Monique Martinez of Cortez; his nephews, Shyoki and Talon Knapp of Cortez and Kristepher Chumley of Carlsbad, N.M.; his grandmother, Lea Sanchez of Cortez; his mother and father-in-law, Annette and Rick Stewart of Cortez; his sisters-in-law, Charley Rainer (Jay) of Denver, Colo., Bobby Stewart and Amber Celaya of Cortez; his brother-in-law, Jacob Celaya of Cortez; his aunts and uncles, Billy Sanchez (Kathy) of Cortez, Aline Sanchez of Cortez, Patricia White (Patrick) of Cortez and Kathy Perea (Tommy) of Cheyenne, Wyo.; and by numerous cousins, extended family and friends. Kyle was preceded in death by his grandparents, Don and Jeanne Knapp and Willie Sanchez. A memorial fund has been set up in Kyle's name at Dolores State Bank.
