Kitty Louise Dillon

Kitty Louise Dillon was born on September 19, 1930 in Wagoner, OK the daughter of Roy and Josephine (Schrimsher) Cothrun. She passed away peacefully at Vista Grande on Saturday, August 10, 2024 in Cortez, CO at the age of 93.

 Kitty was a long time resident of Cortez, CO before relocating to Farmington, NM many years ago upon the death of her husband. Kitty returned to Cortez a year ago to live her final days closer to family. Kitty was married to Wade A. Dillon, District Attorney of Cortez and both were very active in the Elk’s Lodge and their community through the years.

 Surviving Kitty are her daughter, Margaret Tyler of Las Vegas, NV, sister Bette Hawkes of Albuquerque, NM, her beloved grandchildren Gwen Durazo of Sunnyvale, CA and Gina Laveglia of Tonopah, AZ. Kitty had five great-grandchildren that she loved dearly, Breanna Lara, David Garcia, Joseph Garcia, Quinton Lyons & Gianna Laveglia. Kitty had five great-great-grandchildren and one more on the way that she was very excited about. Kitty is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. 

 Kitty was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers Trent, Charles and Kenneth Cothrun.

 Her granddaughters would like to give special thanks to her dear nieces and the staff at Vista Grande for all the love and care given to help her through this last year of life. 

 Services will not be held, per her request. She will be laid to rest with her husband, Wade, at the Sunnyside Cemetery, in Lewis, CO.
