KIRBY ALLEN TAYLOR Kirby Allen Taylor passed away on Friday, December 2, at St. Mary`s Hospital in Grand Junction, after having gall bladder surgery in Monticello. Kirby was 26. He was born the son of Mary Ann Taylor and Brent Knuckles at Southwest Memorial Hospital in Cortez, on April 14, 1985. He lived in Dove Creek his entire life, and was employed at Main Supply Hardware for a number of years. He loved his family and friends and would do anything for them. Kirby enjoyed mechanics, building things, computer technology, camping, outdoor grilling, hunting, riding 4-wheelers and motorcycles, swimming, family reunions, big holiday get togethers and helping his Granny with the garden, among other interests. He was very knowledgeable about many things. He is survived by his mother, Mary Ann Taylor, his brother David Taylor, his grandparents Eldon and Babe Leffel; his uncle Layne Leffel; his aunts Audrey Gregory, Dorothy Heffner, Connie Martin and Shauna Abney, and many cousins. Kirby was loved very much and will be missed by all. Funeral services were held at the Burn Cemetery on Tuesday, December 13, 2011, at 2:00 P.M. Pastor Michael Farren officiating. Services were under the direction of Ertel Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made in Kirby`s name at Community Banks of the Rockies in Dove Creek.
