KEVIN ARMEND SATEGNA Funeral services for longtime Mancos resident Kevin Armend Sategna will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, January 11 at the Aztec Masonic Lodge, 1020 N.E. Aztec Blvd., Aztec, N.M. Interment will follow at the Bloomfield Cemetery. Kevin was born August 31, 1949 in Durango, Colo. the son of Mario John and Ramonde Genevieve (Fachon) Sategna. He passed away on Saturday, January 4, 2014 at Mercy Regional Medical Center in Durango at the age of 64. Introduced to Pipeline by his dad, Mario "Marty", as a young man, Kevin worked in the pipeline industry for 48 years. His last 17 years he devoted to Sunland Construction where he was Superintendent over his "A Team" as he called them. In all this time Kevin took a four day vacation. He was the first to the yard and the last to leave. His wife, Rena worked by his side for 34 years, starting with Mitchell Construction and ending with Sunland Construction. Kevin's stepson, Roudy Hampton, also worked by Kevin's side for many years as did Kevin's brothers, Steve, Tim, Rick, and Mark, his stepdaughter, Corena Hampton and his granddaughter, Jazmyn Hampton. Kevin is in Heaven starting his own new pipeline now and he has a whole crew waiting for him. See you down the road Seven Kevin. Kevin is survived by his wife, Rena Sategna of Mancos; children, Kevin Sategna and family, Sarena Sategna and family, Stephia Sategna and family all of Arizona, Roudy Hampton and wife, Tina and family of Cortez, Corena Hampton and family of Mancos; grandson, Jason Hampton; daughter-granddaughter, Jazmyn Hampton of Mancos; sister, Sandra Harrison of Bloomfield, N.M.; brother, Tim Sategna of Bloomfield, N.M.; and sister-in-law, Johnnie Sategna of Bloomfield, N.M. He is also survived by his "little friend", Lily; his "A Team"; all his pipline friends, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Preceding Kevin in death are his parents, Mario and Ramonde Sategna; and siblings, Steve Sategna, Rick Sategna, Mark Sategna, and Sharman Sategna.
