KENNETH MARVIN "KENNY" BAUER Memorial services for lifelong Mancos resident Kenneth Marvin "Kenny" Bauer will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, October 22 at Ertel Memorial Chapel. Kenny was born on June 3, 1930 in Mancos the son of Carl and Elgie (Matlock) Bauer. He passed away on Tuesday, October 19, 2010 at Southwest Memorial Hospital at the age of 80. Kenny retired from the Forest Service after 40 years of work. In his free time, Kenny enjoyed working puzzles and crossword puzzles. As a younger man, Kenny liked being in the mountains hunting and fishing. He also spent time playing baseball, football, and basketball. Kenny was a wonderful carpenter who loved to build things. Surviving Kenny are his daughter, Tammy Trevino and husband, Jerry of Mancos; his grandchildren, Josh Archuleta of Cortez and Kenna Archuleta of Mancos; his great-grandchildren, Josalynn and Madison Archuleta; and his brother, Bill Bauer and wife, Moieta of Cortez. Kenny was preceded in death by his parents; by his wife, Stella Lenore (Bailey) Bauer; by his brother, Fred Bauer; and by his sister-in-law, Eileen Bauer.
