KENNETH WAYNE JENSEN PHILLIPS Kenneth Wayne Jensen Phillips passed away at St. Mary's Medical Center in Grand Junction, Colo. on Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at the age of 63. The son of Alfred and Thelma Lorene (Ansiel) Jensen, Ken was born March 23, 1951 in Riverside, Calif. Ken was a builder in the construction industry and particularly loved woodworking. Ken is survived by his children, Sean Phillips and wife, Andrea of Prescott Valley, Ariz. and Jennifer Simonson and husband, Dave also of Prescott Valley, Ariz.; his wife, friend and companion, Susan Staggs of Cortez; stepchildren, Jessica Staggs of Cortez and Chris Staggs and wife, Jadi of Cortez; eight grandchildren, Bryan Patrick Woodall, Dana Phillips, Kellie Woodall, Alexandra Phillips, Skylee Lindsay, Celacia Stewart, Chloe Staggs and William Staggs; and his siblings, Charles Jensen and wife, Judie of San Bernardino, Calif., Thelma Jones of Hemet, Calif., Annafaye Fagen of St. Charles, Mo., Allen Jensen and wife Dusty of Lewis, Colo., and Larry Jensen of wife, Susie of Avondale, Ariz. Preceding Ken in death were his father, Alfred Jensen; and mother and step-father, Lorene (Ansiel) Phillips and David Phillips. Cremation has taken place with plans of a memorial service to be held at a later date. Memorial contributions in memory of Kenneth Phillips can be made to a cancer research organization of your choice.
