KENNETH L. WARD Funeral services for Kenneth L. Ward, 72, of Dolores will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 8 at Ertel Memorial Chapel. Pastor Jonathan Bland of Victory World Outreach Church will officiate. Interment will follow at Cortez Cemetery. Visitation has been set for Monday evening from 5 to 7 p.m. at Ertel Chapel. Kenneth went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 2, 2007. He passed away at his home with his family by his side. He was born November 4, 1934 in Cortez the son of Glen L. and Sylvia May (Baysinger) Ward. On June 23, 1970 Kenneth married Cheryl J. Overton in Cortez; sharing over 36 years of marriage. Kenneth was employed by Flint Engineering as an Assistant District Manager. In his free time he loved hunting and fishing and enjoyed sharing that passion with his grandchildren. Kenneth is survived by his wife, Cheryl Ward of Dolores; five children, Rick Ward and wife, Linda of Moapa, Nev., Janice Ward and husband, Dan of Cortez, Robin Bland and husband, Jonathan of Cortez, Cheryl Maurer of Antioch, Calif., and Justin Ward and wife, Trudie also of Cortez; eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren; one brother, Glen Ward of Cortez; and his sister, Marge Meister of Gridley, Calif. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his siblings, Wanalee Markham, Leonard Ward, and Dean Woodard.
