Kenneth George Gabel

KENNETH GEORGE GABEL Kenneth George Gabel was born on April 2, 1927 in Duluth, Minn., the son of Frank George and Ann Alice (Johnson) Gabel. He passed away on Saturday, June 16, 2007 at his residence at the age of 80. On September 30, 1950, Kenneth married Joan Florence Glick in Seattle, Wash. Kenneth helped found the Cortez Woodworkers Guild. Working with wood was a pastime that he dearly loved. Kenneth also enjoyed camping and fishing. Surviving Kenneth are his wife of 56 years, Joan Gabel of Cortez; his children, Glenn Paul Gabel and wife, Kathy of Pleasanton, Calif., Cheryl Joan Overbay and husband, Mike of Chehalis, Wash., and Diane Lynn Medford and husband, Gordon of Los Alamos, N.M., his sisters, Beverley Riordan and husband, Jerome of Spokane, Wash., Marilyn Hoerner and husband, Roy also of Spokane, Wash.; and his grandchildren, Elizabeth, Rebecca, Jacob, Rochelle, Aubrey, and Alexander. He was preceded in death by his parents. Cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held.
