KENNETH EMORY TODD Funeral services for lifelong area resident Kenneth Emory Todd will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, August 18 at Ertel Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at Lewis Cemetery. Mr. Raymond Boyd and Clifford Capps will officiate. Visitation has been scheduled for Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Ertel Chapel. Kenneth was born on December 8, 1923 in Pleasant View the son of Emory O. and Fannie F. (Retherford) Todd. He passed away on Saturday, August 14, 2010 at his Cortez home at the age of 86. On January 7, 1943, Kenneth married Phyllis L. Ross in Gallup, N.M. A farmer all of his life, Kenneth had a great love for horses. He enjoyed time spent hunting and traveling the country. Surviving Kenneth are his wife of 67 years, Phyllis Todd of Cortez; and his children, Charlotte Sundquist Johnson and husband, Bob of Cortez, Erv Todd and wife, Pam of Cortez, and Ken Todd and wife, Jeanne of Cortez. Kenneth also leaves behind 11 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and his siblings, Lois Smart of Arriola, Venita Wells Ransom of Cortez, and Berta Boyd and husband, Raymond of Pleasant View. Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents; by his siblings, Vernon Todd, Robert Todd, Dale Todd, and Della Jean Herrmann; by three grandchildren; and by two great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, it was Kenneth's wish that you help someone in need.
