Kelly Belcher

WILLIAM KELLY BELCHER William Kelly Belcher was born on February 3, 1952 in Cortez the son of William Leslie and Joanne Marie (Humphreys) Belcher. A lifelong Cortez resident, Kelly passed away on Wednesday, August 19, 2009 at Southwest Memorial Hospital at the age of 57. Kelly graduated from Montezuma-Cortez High School in 1970. He then went on to attend the University of Northern Colorado where he studied geology. Kelly loved time spent outdoors hunting, fishing, and gardening. Surviving Kelly are his siblings, Jo Alice Belcher, Terry Belcher, and Jana Belcher, all of Cortez; his uncles, Gayle Humphreys and wife, Celia of Lake Havasu, Ariz., George Humphreys of Cortez, Frank Humphreys and wife, Linda of Cortez, and Bert Ray of Cortez; and many cousins and friends. Kelly was preceded in death by his father, William; and by his mother, Joanne in June of this year. Cremation has taken place and no services are planned at this time.
