KAY SANDERS A celebration of life and times of remembering for Kay Sanders will be held at Boyle Park in Mancos, Colo. on Thursday, May 15 at 11 a.m. Kay passed away peacefully at home late Wednesday evening. She was 56 and a lifelong resident of Mancos, Colo. Kay was born on May 20, 1957 in Cortez, Colo. to John and Ellen Paquin. On February 28, 1981 Kay married Bill Sanders and went on to have two children, son, Chris and daughter, Ryann. Then she was blessed with three grandchildren, Jade Sanders, Unique Sanders and Paizley Wilson. Kay was survived by her husband, Bill Sanders; son, Chris Sanders; daughter, Ryann Sanders; granddaughters, Jade and Unique Sanders, and Paizley Wilson; parents, John and Ellen Paquin; brother, Ronald Paquin and his wife, Sheri; two nieces, Cassie Alexander and husband, Keith and her daughter, Addison, and Jesse Paquin; nephew, Trevor Paquin; and many lifelong friends. After Kay graduated high school she decided to pursue a career in Dental Hygiene. Upon graduating Kay worked in Southwest Colorado for over 30 years. Kay enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, loved the outdoors, and would dance the night away every chance she got. Kay later on became an avid quilter and her work will be cherished by all. Kay touched an untold number of people and her memory and spirit will forever thrive in all those who knew and loved her. A memorial fund will be set up at Mancos Valley Bank for those who wish to honor her and all proceeds will go to her favorite charity in her name.
